#Battlefield battle royale mod#
A Battle Royale mod (or DLC) for BF4 would be really different and wouldn't offer the same experience. People wouldn't play that the way people play Battle Royale, for sure (that's the reason Battle Royale is actually close to Day Z or even Wasteland).Īrma 3 is so different in so many ways, and Battle Royale relays on its roots. Battlefield 4, even if -in my opinion- is less arcade than COD, is still a fast FPS : run, see, shoot. Which means that every decisions actually counts : if I crouch there, will I have enough time to react and take my weapon to aim and actually aim and shoot ? If I see an enemy, far away, do I take a chance to shoot him even if there is almost 90 % of chances that I won't hit him (because there are a lot of parameters to take in consideration) ? It's stressful as hell !Ī lot of stuff that you couldn't have in BF4, even if you could mod the game : so many things would need to be changed (movement, guns and bullet physics, size of the map, vehicles and how they work).Īnd something that, even a mod couldn't change, is actually the community. I think that what makes Battle Royale for Arma 3 beautiful is the fact that it's based on Arma 3 : it's a very slow gameplay, and probably the finest military simulation in the video game industry. I guess what I want to know from you guys is: do you feel the same way? Think this could work in this game? If so lets get DICE's attention, and get them to include this into the game.

I mean, I know I don't have all the details down to the wire, but I think it could be a very successful game mode on Battlefield 4, and think it could work very well. You have to find supplies to survive (ammo packs, medic bags, guns etc.) The object of the game is to be the last man standing. (actually, Minecraft's Survival Games would also be a good thing to check out if you still don't know what I mean) You spawn in on the map in a random area, with only a knife (or pistol). So how would it work? (If you ever saw any Arma III Battle Royale that might help you on this part) The idea of the gamemode is survival. I tweeted at their handle and they actually seemed pretty excited about the idea. So, after watching some awesome Arma III gameplay of their Battle Royale mod on Twitch, it occurred to me that such a game mode would be absolutely amazing on Battlefield 4.
